The 944 radiator will clog up if it isn't maintained. To test if your rad is clogged, run the engine until it's hot then turn it off. CAREFULLY disconnect the fan electric plugs. Now you can feel the radiator. If any part of it feels cool to the touch, you are probably not getting hot coolant to that part and that section is clogged. Changing the radiator is relatively easy. Just remember to remove the top radiator mounts before you remove the bottom mounts and slide the old radiator out.
