Golly dealing with the federal government is fun.
I have to get in my time machine and go back to the 1980s, and send a FAX to the FAA control tower in a controlled airspace we need to fly in tomorrow. They even tell us, the best way to get them to cooperate is to FAX them, and then they will call the pilot. Of course, most every time we do all that, and get the manager's permission and all the controllers on board for what we need to do, they have a shift change and no one has any notes for the new crew. So we get turned away and start over.
They don't have a simple direct phone number to call and discuss it with a logical human. We have to go through the time machine, send a FAX and then come back to the current time and use a cell phone to talk to whoever is on duty at the moment.
Evidently that are not allowed to use a simple post it note for the next guy on duty.
