I'm beginning to come to the realization - when I parked the car about 8 years ago because I didn't want to deal with body shops and painting it, I'm understanding that my concerns and issues from back then were well founded. Everyone is all over the map, and prices seem insane to have a car painted. It seems to range from $800 at Maaco, to $15,000, with very little in-between. Nearly impossible to make an informed decision. And that's even from the people who will give a ballpark quote on it. Some say, "oh it will be somewhere between $10K and $20K and I can't even start on it until 2019." Yep, now I remember why I didn't get it painted eight years ago.
