You'd have to change all the trim for it to look right. The trim is also polished aluminum not chrome plated. But yeah as 75 911 says its a slippery slope and one of the main differentiators between the Longhoods and later cars. The early frames are hard to find and super expensive so if you decided to go this route you would be better off having your existing ones polished. Its one of those details that lots of people dont do when backdating due to the time, effort and cost. I'm afraid if you had polished trim on a mid-year car people would think it was an early car that someone updated.
