Make sure drain valve closed, but be gentle those things snap off, and use teflon tape on attaching fitting ends.

But between the end connectors you can't really do anything about (precision ball check valve and seat I think).
Sometimes twisting it around works.
Otherwise replace the ends.

Just like motion sensor lights there is usually a 80% fail rate.
