NOooooooooo!
Went in to update a public DNS record. Clicked save and instead of the message telling me the host file was updated it came up that I did not have a host tile. The public DNS host file is gone! I logged out and back in and there were 5 records and no Mx records. Called support and they, of course, have never heard of anything like this happening. We had 52 host file records not including MX and SVR. At least our SPF text record was back.
Support tells me there is no backup are anything like that. Found a site, DNStrails.com that shows our mx records and 21 hosts. But that is not half of our host records.
Guess I will be hunting and adding DNS records all day/evening. They sure need a backup and restore of the host file. Network Solution had that, but they sure got expensive. Don't know if any other DNS providers to do the download/upload of the host file for a domain.
