My wife had a Sulcata as a class room pet. He'd walk around the room among the kids (1st graders) and tended to situate himself in their midst when they were on the floor doing an activity. We couldn't keep him at school over night after a while because he'd wander around & set off the alarm. Plus he got big enough he could potentially bite. We had him until he got to 50 or 60 lb. & had to give him up to a family in Palm Springs who really enjoy him. His name was Turbo because it seemed like if you put him down & turned your head, he'd disappear. When I'd call his name, he'd stop in his tracks & finally locate me. Seemed like he didn't have directional ability with his hearing. I built a house for him that he liked a lot. Kept him from digging. In the pic of him in the doorway of his house, he'd hang like that for a long time.
