I was a bit upset to learn that the "old timer" brand is now made in china...Used to be made by Schrade in the USA. Good quality, good carbon steel, the favored pocket knife of many.

(edit) I also remember reading that India banned the export of "Stag" antlers once used in handle material. Didn't make much sense since no animals killed for the material, these are antlers that are shed annually. Still, maybe makes old knives with stag handles or scales more desirable? I'm not a collector, but I do have some old knives about...sheath and pocket. Took me a spell to figure out which pocket or hunting knife I'd feel most comfortable with.
