I have a 300w equivalent in the spot lights in the driveway. No way I would put those in a 8-10 foot ceiling.
We have the 6300 lumen 5000k LED fixtures in the drop ceiling in the basement and I can't imagine going brighter there.
The garage has 150w eq bulbs and they are plenty in the small 24x24 space there and we put all the lights in for less than one of the parking lot lights you listed.
Cree makes some very good lighting.
