Garage
Well? to continue with my road side work.I Got my self new tire in Phoenix a i headed for Texas. There i saw in one village nice beer sign so i stopped and watched Lakers and Celtic ...it was late so i decided to sleep over in local motel...all good up to this point.
I woke up in the morning and outside was 30cm of snow..i though ok i show away and i could go direction Florida i even had my tennis racket;-)
After breakfast i went to the car started it all good and then the hell broke loose.Big explosion in the engine ....I looked and there was a giant puddle of oil under the car...

To understand this i have to make the story short. My oil cooler blew up there was a big hole in it.
So i called the town truck of course it was not a flat bed they had to sent another one.meanwhile the owner of the motel suggested i could tow it to her daughter house garage (she was in Spain) Ok second truck showed up but when loading my 911 on it the hydraulics burst on that truck so my car was stuck on top of it.

Finaly at 8 pm. we got it to the garage.I had to use my tool kit only to remove the engine and remove the oil cooler.Call my shop in La there i had another cooler in my tool box...... they sent it by UPS the next day .This 2 days before Xmas. But my cooler basically never showed up .
So i had to go ..at this point Florida was canceled-no tennis.. ....i took flight to Harrisburg for a wedding of my friend. There were 30 of us from LA only me of course drove. The flight to Harrisburg via New Jersey was ok but from Jersey got canceled. So i took a bus from Jersey but it did not drive to Hershey Hotel where the wedding was. After telling peeps my story they made the driver to take me to the hotel....
Meanwhile the second oil cooler ( i had to buy this time) arrived in Texas .So after New Year`s Eve i got to Texas, installed the cooler that night a took of to LA..i th early hours......

Sorry for this long story;-) oh yes i do have a video of my journey on VHS;-)

Ivan

the point of this story is do not drive with 20W50 in cold climate;-)
