Speaking to my wife today- she was not happy about my behavior last night either, but for the sake of full disclosure, she was unaware of any of it until I told her later last night well after the event.
As for Jack Torrance- The Shining is one of my favorites. Last night was a level one "Married with children" Al Bundy level of trashy behavior on my part.
Jack Torrance occurs after a REALLY BAD WEEK!!!!
(I'm still trying to meddle though the newer "Dr. Sleep" with Danny Torrance).
Edit- last night when I stupidly made this post I considered using the phrase "and I
corrected the family"- and then
