Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Near Incline Village, right where Lakeshore Dr hits 28, there is a trailhead near the old Ponderosa set that is okay for dogs, or it was last time I took a dog up there.
Poor guy would freeze his tookus off if he dipped into Tahoe. I wasn’t talking about Lake Tahoe as a therapy, yeah a wee bit to cold for the little guy. Heated water for therapy is the only way he could stand it.

Although the last time we took him to the river, we did have to stop him from going out too far. He did seem to like standing in the cool water but that was a couple years ago.

That’s good intel on the dog friendly beach area. We will need to take him there so he can walk around. We were kinda surprised how restrictive the park areas were regarding dogs.
