The Important stuff
Evren, Ruki, and three of their children were here for a couple of days. Oh, do they ever grow fast. Two sisters ages 12 & 14...they are probably already breaking hearts. Son, just turned 11 crazy smart. Evren & I discussing the plummet of the Turkish Lira, the screw up of the world wide central banks...when I mentioned the USA national debt, this kid referenced it with the percentage of the GDP. Uh, how many USA 11 year olds even know what GDP means?
Anyway, the important stuff. Evren, his son and I went for a Mustang run. No, nothing frisky with a little guy aboard...other than one short burst Evren made in a low traffic straight in order to feel a bit of V-8 torque. But that's not the important stuff.
We were on River road here...once to a park, a sandy beach stretch along the river.
There, the 11 year old promptly began hunting flat stones and skipping them across the water, explaining the stones needed and the throwing technique (It's all in the wrist) To Evren and I. We spent at least an hour.
So gentlemen, that is the important stuff. As long as young boys enjoy skipping stones across flat water...all's okay in the world. World finance, cars, and other stuff are secondary. These are the moments that matter.
