We used to be capped at 2GB. When we went to using 365 online their default cap is 50GB. We have about half our users with mobile accounts (web access only) that are capped at 3GB.
HR, or People and Culture (ie Prayer and Cult) likes to send out weekly announcements and more, and there is the daily bible verse that are all graphics intensive emails so they look all pretty like. We have also gone to Tableau for various sales reports that is all graphics now. It actually adds up pretty quick. There are users that have been with the company for 1 year and never logged in or used their 3GB accounts that have 1GB in just announcements and bible verses that go out to every user.
The sad part is I have to archive users email pst files when they leave, even if they never logged in. We use AWS Glacier and pay to store all those copies of those pretty announcements. It costs to upload, it costs for the storage used, and it costs to download as well. (however we will probably never download the terminated users pst files).
I used to do the graphics for the daily bible verse. Actually enjoyed finding pictures that helped illustrate the verse. One day the bible versus was warning of life after death without Christ. I use a picture of zombies (the walking dead had just become popular). Heck, the company chaplain thought it was great. But, the zombies offended some of the bible thumpers and they complained. So now we just get the same old boring picture of a bible, day after day.
