the cases at the top right maybe worth a few bucks but i can't tel what patterns they are or condition

value is determined by two things in my experience, rarity and condition. the more rare, the less condition is important. Edit: also some patterns are more popular than others, also same for material...bone vs stag vs ebony etc

i'll typically pay $100 for an unused case pre-1980. i consider that a good value.

there are a ton of unused vintage cases in the market
