BTW, the only club improvement that made a difference for me when I was playing golf were hybrids over fairway woods and long irons.
I put any notion of 1 through 4 irons, fairway woods, in the garage.

Me too. I replaced my 3 iron and 4 iron for hybrids last year. MUCH easier to hit and stop the ball on 185-210 yard shots with a hybrid. Way more forgiving.
