Had a Grrrrreat eye doc day.
My normal eye doc and my retina specialist both said I have 20/20 vision in both eyes, wow! Also it has been since February there was enough swelling to warrant a shot in the eye and they are still good. Don't know who were happier, me or the retina doc.
On the way home I picked up a Gyro and the guy that owns the local shop (a friend) said his sister-in-law had the same problem. When they did cataract surgery there were complications and she is now blind. She went to another doc and he said they did the cataract surgery too soon, her retinas were still bleeding. That there was nothing they could do now. Yikes.
When they started the shots to stop the bleeding I had to sign a form that said there was a 1 in 1000 chance the shots would make me go blind. When I asked the doc what would happen if I didn't try the shots, he said I would go blind. To me it that meant the shots gave me 1000 to 1 chance to NOT go blind.
