Another point worth considering: Some of the new owners may have bought cars that have already had these mods done, and don't need another after-market intercooler, or other hardware.
In my case, I bought a modded car, and have continued to tweak it. It had an Andial short-neck intercooler and I modded it to the long neck style, and got rid of the clunky intake by-pass and BOV. And I did some other stuff, too.
Point being, this intercooler is way better than stock, but the long-neck style, along with other newer technology, has made this item somewhat obsolete.
