Thanks gents. I fixed the above link. My question was more generic 987 S vs 997 base given a similar $40k price point. The Cayman S seen above is a ltd edition “Sport” variant which may have some upside in addition to sitting between the S and R models, which should make it fairly enjoyable yet usable as a semi-DD. Reasonably interesting little car. The RND reman motors are well regarded in my initial research, provided they’re installed and broken in properly.
