I don't think he was going to run nitro, that is nitro methane, the stuff that melts parts!
Nitrous is what he was referring to.
Anyways, you can make 1000hp from a Chevy truck 5.3L V8 with just a cam change and boost.
As the saying goes, "no replacement for displacement".
