Hey I adjusted the valves on my 914 2.0. It was hopped up and you had to readjust the exhaust valves every 4th or so tank of gas. Only changed the oil a couple of times myself because Dumont's did it so cheap. Heck they did a tuneup with plugs on the 914 for a whole $12.

Was in a hurry and had my parents change the oil at one of the pit stop places. They sent my parents off on a 70mi trip to pick up 2 tons of cheese in a full size GMC Jimmy with zero oil. The oil change before I had put in Slick 50. Went I got home from work and picked up my Jimmy my
Dad told me I might want to check the oil it started clattering on the way into town on the way home. I drove 11 miles to class and it started clattering in 10. When I pulled into class the dipstick was bone dry. A girl in class had just picked up a couple of cases of oil at walmart and had them in her car. It took the full 9qts too fill it up which includes the filter. Thought they had killed my truck. But it drove another 2 years without any issues!
