I was
thisclose to pulling the trigger on a full touring Harley Ultra Classic but changed course. I still might get one but need more garage space, among other things. I also did not want to write the check without selling one of my current stable.
Of course, I still needed to buy something, being the compulsive hamster I am. I’ve always liked the simplicity and performance of the air-cooled Ducati Multistrada, (<‘09), so I grabbed this low mileage 2007 1100S model. It was the nicest one I found west of the Mississippi. It was located in Casper, WY., but the seller just happened to be coming to Las Vegas for a family gathering. He put it in the back of his PU truck and I drove mine 200 miles to meet him and buy the bike. It checked out in person, so I bought it.
So far, so good. Getting to know it on the twisty canyon roads of LA and very pleased. The seat is even OK comfort wise, a longer ride will really tell. Not a true touring bike but has bags and will be great for charging up the coast, etc.
