No, it's neither investing nor a retirement plan, but it's practical living. I've got a 401k and rothira for the other stuff. I'm not much of a stock market guy. I've got 20 years until I retire. I put it in and leave it in for the most part.

I like pigs, and your laid back farming methods. Makes money too!
As for your retirement plan, nothing wrong with that either. Just pick good, low fee Mutual Fund Index Funds, put money in all the time, review their performance once or twice a year and let 'em ride for the next 20 years. You'll do fine that way.
