Not certain about the throttle actuators but if the forums are buzzing with complaints I'd say it's a good bet!
Most any BMW shop worth their salt has taken in a seized or knocking V8 E90 M3 with bad rod
bearings there may even be a manufacturer wide recall on the shells not certain but have seen
many EBay ads for E90's with blown or about to go V8's ..
Actually bought a near new M5 S62 DOHC motor a few years back and before I could get it
running had to pull and replace a good number of the rod bearings that just seemed to loose to let it go.
If you can't do even some of the work yourself it could turn into a loosing proposition very quickly ..
