Thought those safety bars were added to grey market cars or imports. Or what year did they start? Pretty sure mine doesn't have 'em. I did picture you sawing away with the blade only. That made me laugh. Actually gave me an idea. My fenders are tack welded on, a dremel with cutting wheel wont fit, but just a hack saw blade will! Thanks for the idea! :-D
