check your Gleason score, indicator on agressiveness. Go to the Partin tables and review the information there. PROSTATE CANCER -The James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute - Urology at Hopkins For treatment only use doctors who see multiple patients and specialize in this disease. If you choose surgery ask questions about nerve sparing, whether laprocopic or robotic surgery is best.
Do your research. As others have said, this is a slow growing cancer. One indicator is the rise in level of psa. Mine was stuck around 3.8 to 4.2 but jumped in 18months to 11. That showed something was wrong. Lived near Johns Hopkins so I was able to go to the Brady Institute for treatment, one of the best
