E30 Engine/transmission installation

Is it practical to install an M20B25 with the transmission already bolted together? We change engines fairly (too) often in our race car. We have a simple Harbor Freight 1/2 ton hoist...

I've done it both ways. Putting them in together makes it a lot easier to get to all the bolts and mount the starter! ....and I do it by myself, with my Harbor Freight lift!!

Thanks. Yeah, we have our firewall holes drilled to get to them, but those top bolts are still a PITA along with that starter.

You are a better man than me to do it by yourself!!! I salute you SIR!
