Windows only work one at a time
I recently purchased an 89' E30 316i, in fairly good shape. There are some rust spots and the car vibrates and has lots of road noise but I plan it to work on all problems as I go along. I have little to no experience in the garage but I read the E30 is one of the best places to start learning.
I realized that the windows on the car only works one at a time, if I try to open or close 2 together then the windows just stop moving. Also both windows move really slowly. I've tried googling but no one else seems to have this problem. Is this a sign of failure somewhere else in the car? |

Have you ever replaced any of your regulators/motors? I'd pop off the door cards and inspect inside while you roll them up/down one at a time. Then do this, but with both. Could be related to strain on the system and possibly one or both on their way out. Nick might also have more useful info for you so click on the link above that Dmitry posted and post your issue in the Comments & Suggests section.
