I think it's a reflection of the current state of the bubble, only the best cars are going for top dollar these days. I'm restoring a 76 Carrera 3.0 for a customer to as "seen on the showroom floor" condition making it a pain in the butt cross between a restoration and preservation. Took me 9 months and a ton of luck to find front and rear date matched Koni struts and shocks, 23 75. It's this level of detail that is setting cars apart these days.
