Actually not true that the yellow lights are illegal in all states. I was surprised to find that here in the Illinois (Land of Lincoln and most notably, corruption ) that yellow lights are clearly allowed according to the IL Compiled Statutes

Look under Chapter 12, Article 2 and it says yellow or amber

625Â*ILCSÂ*5/Â*Â*Illinois Vehicle Code.




But i'm sure one can argue that the Euro H4 lights are technically not DOT compliant. Only the H1 and H5 Bosch lights have the DOT marking on the lens. But is someone really going to check for the DOT marking? Maybe a sharp police officer would. And as soon as you leave IL, all bets are off where else the lights are allowed.......
