I did confirm the gauge matches the temps as displayed on the valve cover areas.
they tend to run around 240.
That said the tank and the trombone loop are around 200 to 220 depending on where i hit the loop
tank drain nut is a steady 190
While the temps are not wildly out of whack I still agree with the wisdom here and am searching for the best place to get one.
I also ordered a cap and rotor for a 78 911 3.0L engine and it showed up too small so that is my next issue, the cap and rotor are fairly worn and id like to replace that to see if it solves my slightly rough running under load.

I put in a message to clint at rebel about suspension stuff but if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear it. the car has a front sway bar but not a rear and some asshat looks like they sazalled the mount off the body so ill have to replace that.
