Price what it would cost you to build a 964 engine today using real 3.8RS parts. I would say $50k
Building that gearbox would cost you $12-15k. I do think the price kind of silly but I'm not really sure someone overpaid. The only thing that kept build cost down when it happened is it was mechanic built. He didn't pay any labor on it.
