September 98 I managed to blag a test ride on an 1100s a week before the launch trying to ride it like my FJ1200 I locked the backend up and it nearly chucked me off,the way I/we have purchased all of our bikes I ride a bike one up then go back to the shop pick my other half up and go again,rode back to the shop she’s putting her crash helmet on and I say ‘Forget it’ and we left that was my first intro to the 1100s.
There is a ton of info in every post on this thread and the one you really need to remember is 105NM on the back wheel anything less and they fall off
As time goes on you will realise learning to ride this oddball bike is the easy part
