The boxers have some fundamental differences from the F800, other than the obvious, boxers have a torque bias to one side and when you rev it sitting on it, you have no problem feeling it, as you ride you'll compensate for this and not even notice it anymore, also, the boxers have much more inertia through out the power/drive train, the F800 (especially with a belt) is lower, if you change your engine/drive trail speed suddenly, you should feel it, the chassis has to react it, it's just different and I've seen people fast with both bikes with the 800 typically being lighter and more nimble if not down on torque compared to a boxer...
