It is a very heavy vehicle. That said, the larger brakes on Turbo models stops them like a Porsche. It seems like they were optional on non-turbo cars...so one might find a set in a junkyard if their car is no equipped. I tried/test drove both models and the non-turbo versions seem more like driving a big station wagon as compared to the turbo (so I personally bought the turbo version more for handling/braking).
