I did my R one tripping over a poorly marked handicapped ramp a few months ago walking the dogs. My understanding is the surgery is to remove the end of your collarbone, not something that is typically repaired. A bit of a pisser, kept the chassis pristine for over 50 years, then blow up a ball joint that can't be replaced, damn
