just catching up to this thread ....
When I did my engine rebuild I put in 964 cam grind and when I put on the SSis this spring I noticed a marked improvement in mid range torque by my Butt dyno.

is it possible to machine out the stock 3.2 cylinders ( imagine you would have to replate with nikasil too ) then put in JE pistons without touching the rods ?
I thought I read that somewhere but I'm just not sure.
