Yep...a few twigs & leaves, tree branches, etc. and it forms a nice dam easy-peasy. I have enough ponds on the property already, but those are spring fed

This "usually dry" ditch allows for another neighbor's storm run-off to pass through my property and enters into a large stream just about ten yards on the other side of the fence....been that way for decades as all three properties belonged to my great-grandfather....more than 50 acres back then. When he passed, some of the land was sold to each neighbor...decades ago. I'm still scratching my head....why put chicken wire there, in addition to the barbed wire fence? I've seen the whole area flooded bigtime, before, when the flow was obstructed but I cleared that several years back. I don't know their rationale, but unintentionally (or with intent) blocking the flow of water just ain't gonna happen...not in my world. Oh yeah...the water is still getting to it's destined creek....they just made a big ol' freakin' mess instead of leaving as is
