Steve Jobs and Apple are the epitome of the cautionary tale, so it's refreshing to see the side of the man from the perspective of the two women he slammed the door on. The book called Jobs that came out a few years ago gives his final years much more of a soft, charismatic look at the human being behind Apple than he deserved.
Alas, is there or has there ever been another entity with such an impact on the world that is equal parts the product and how it's sold and marketed and the inner drive of the man pulling the levers?
The closest thing I've ever come up with is Rockefeller and Standard Oil.
