Back when I was a kid I did "paint correction" for back then with no clear coat. Paint would oxidize and I had cleaner for that. Cleaned up everything including tires, all that chrome, interior, and even had some special stuff for vinyl tops. BUT didn't call it paint correction or detailing, just called it waxing cars.

Had a really cool orbital buffer. Most cars it only took me about an hour. Charged $20.

Dad would go hang out at different drug store coffee shops. He would get cars and stop by the touchless car wash on the way home. Every once in a while would have one to do of an evening, but most were on Saturdays.

Actually they didn't start calling it paint correction until they started selling those ceramic coatings. Oh and all the different grits of polishing compounds and pads.
