Fellas, I have a 79SC and about to install the same MSD 6425 as one of next winter’s projects.

If I end up needing a tach adaptor, I already have tach adaptor MSD 8920 which has a red (power), black (ground) a purple and a white.

Am I correct to say the grey wire from the MSD would then connect to the White from the tach adaptor and the purple from the adaptor to where the grey would have gone to without the tach adaptor? Hope I did not confuse anyone.

I plan to wire the MSD Box first without the tach adaptor to see if it functions fine. If it does, then no worries. If I need to add the tach adaptor, I just want to confirm I wire it up correctly. Thanks for any help.
