Porsche falls into this weird zone where it is not as exotic as Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren but is considered much more exotic than most American, British, Japanese performance cars. Because of this the price of parts and service are much more expensive than similar cost on other cars.

Given 1) the age of the car and 2) the volume of the parts produced, I'd be hesitant to say that parts prices are out of line. The alternative is, thatparts aren't available. For instance, my 14 year old Alfa is parked right now because it needs a fuel injector that is no longer made.
Economics- supply/demand. Be grateful the parts are available, at whatever cost.
