Our truck has 191k miles and hte leather still looks and feels good, even though the cloth webbing parts have since worn out. The Cobra replica has perforated leather seats that are comfy but after 25 years in the sun they need recovered. Even in El Centro CA heat the perforated leather was nice to sit in.
Our sedan has cloth but now wish we had the Katzkin seats in it. The CUV has cloth and I think they would be horrible no matter the material.
I don't know that I would like alcantara inserts in any of ours, but we don't like that material for a couch either. I think they would get warm and be too sticky t slide in and out properly. Then again, all ours has good side bolsters. The Cobra are even adjustable.
