Bought her a $12,000 engagement diamond...within months she wanted another smaller ring to add to it so that it looked bigger...
or, "...more complete." as she claimed.
That engagement ended within a year.

OK..."A sucker born everyday."...I bought her the same $12,000 diamond months later. That engagement ended within a few months.
We've moved from being engaged to being FWB's to just being acquaintances now.
Whew, eh? Just one of those lessons that tend to come down the line in life.
