How's this for off topic? However, if you appreciate well made machinery you can't beat these swiss made works of art.

Anyway, my wife mentioned that see wanted a sewing machine.
So after much research I come to find that the older "electronic" Bernina models are coveted by many enthusiasts. I purchased an 830 record but I'm thinking that a 930 or 1230 (Computerized model) may be better. It seems people swear thet the 830 is the best but sell them and 930 owners say they'll never part with them. I want the 1989 turbo of sewing machines...one that will be worthy of being handed down to my daughter.

Anyone in the know here? Comments and suggestions are welcome.

(And I know you're thinking..."How can you go wrong with a 930?"
