Just to close the loop on this, I was offered a large dealer sign insert by a gentleman on Rennlist. He purchased it about ten years ago and was told it came from a Florida Porsche dealership.
Once a few house projects settle down, I will create a proper panel/light box for it. The crest will protrude through the panel as designed, and have some sort of LED backlighting.
