Completely different guns, obviously, but the various single action revolvers I enjoy are notorious for the finger pinch. Some are worse than others. It's the way they pivot back in the hand under recoil - the trigger and trigger guard are actually moving moving forward and up, so the trigger finger gets pinched between the bottom of the trigger and the trigger guard. I bet you are experiencing the same thing. My cheap and easy solution has always been to simply shorten the trigger and really bevel or round the corner on it.
