I hate it when they use iconic rock in ads. My friend who co-wrote “Short Shorts” back in ‘58 was paid very well every year when some cosmetic company built a 10 year ad campaign around the song, so I see why authors allow it.
The worst current ad is by Hyundai (I think). A little girl talking to the camera looks and sounds like a chipmunk chewing nuts. I can not understand a word she says.
