I stripped down the dash on the Z. It’s just a bare metal frame now. I cleaned up the instruments. I’ve had to due a little bit of rust removal/treatment on the frame and a few of the instruments. My guess is that the Z was frequently parked outside with the drivers window down. Being near the SF Bay all its life, it probably was exposed to salt in the air, leading to the corrosion I’m seeing (mostly on drivers side of the dash). Of well. Nothing’s easy.
