I see a public company CEO engaging in the latest in a series of questionable behaviors including the "I'm taking the company private, funding secured" tweet, the reports of heavy use (perhaps abuse) of Ambien, the Thai cave rescue mini-sub debacle (and Musk's public attack on the diver calling him a "pedo"), the whiny NY Times exclusive interview.
Its possible to separate appreciation for Musk's talent, vision and obvious successes from the realities of what the CEO of a company like Tesla should be focused on.
He may be one of the most brilliant living minds, but he also demonstrates a serious lack of common sense. Common sense would be for him to step aside from the daily business of running TSLA, and stick with being a brilliant visionary.
